Make Peace with God

Once upon a time, the Babylonian empire was reigning over this world. During that time, Judah was under the captivity of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, to whom the God of Israel showed in a dream and to whom His prophet, Daniel, interpreted the dream and said that several kingdoms will rise after Babylon - including the kingdoms of the present world that we are in - but none of these kingdoms will last for ever. During this time, God will set up an everlasting kingdom whose government will be upon the shoulders of Jesus Christ. There will be no end to His rule and to peace in God's kingdom because God's kingdom is not like the kingdoms of this world. It is a kingdom where righteousness, peace, and joy dwells.

In this world, we can have peace only when there are no disturbances, conflicts, and suffering in our life and in the world around us. The truth is that as long as sin and unrighteousness are in this world, there will always be unrest. This world is coming to an end and God's kingdom is coming soon. Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace, said that He will give peace not as how the world gives. The peace that Jesus gives is such that it makes a person remain in peace when everything around him or her is disturbed and is at unrest. In this study, we will learn ten things we need to do to have the peace of God.
