Joy Restored (Pt 1/2)

Everyone would like to live a joy-filled life. But in this world, we will also have sorrows. The joys and sorrows of this world are based on good and bad circumstances. When a baby is born, there is joy in the family, When we receive promotion in the job place or when we graduate from school or college, we celebrate your success with joy. Likewise, we are filled with sorrow when we lose a loved one or when we fail in a venture. Hence, there must be a reason to be joyful or to be sorrowful.

The bible talks about the joy of the Lord, which is not the same joy that we talk about or experience from the rightful and sinful pleasures of life in this world. Hence, whether we believe in Jesus or not, we can still experience joy in life if things go well as we desire. But we must not mistake that joy for the joy of the Lord.

Do you have the joy of the Lord? What is your reason to be joyful in the Lord?Do you want the joy of the Lord or are you comfortable with the joys of this world? You may have experienced the joy of the Lord but later at some point of your life you may have lost that joy. Why?

In this two-part series, we will learn from God's word about the joy of the Lord, and understand when do we lose the joy of the Lord and how can we have His joy restored in our lives?

In part 1, we will learn how God's people under the old covenant experienced the joy of the Lord.

In part 2, we will learn how God's people under the new covenant through the blood of Jesus, experience the joy of the Lord.
