I Am God, Your God

Do you believe in God - the Creator of all things that exist ? If yes, do you know Him at a personal level? Or are you just following a religion that you have received by tradition? How do you know that you are worshiping and serving the true living God? There is only one historical account of God speaking to people, and that too not to just one person but to a whole nation at once. And this nation is the Jewish nation - the nation of Israel, who are the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God revealed Himself to them as the one and only true living God. He delivered them from the land of Egypt to be their God. His powerful deliverance was witnessed by both the Egyptians and the Jews. God not only revealed Himself as a consuming fire on Mt. Sinai to all the Jews who came out of Egypt, but also spoke to them and they all heard His voice. He gave them commandments, ordinances, and statutes by the hand of Moses and He became known throughout all the nations of the earth and in Israel, not just as God, but as the God of Israel. When we read the scriptures, we learn that God always used to remind Israel saying, "I am God, your God." Being God and being your God mean two different things. Let's understand what God meant by the statement, "I am God, your God."
